Optical inspection - AOI and SPI

AOI (Automated Optical Inspection) is an automated visual inspection process in which the examining equipment scans the product, device, or component (e.g., printed circuit boards) with a camera to eliminate potential quality defects (e.g., soldering or placement errors, cracks, etc.). It is utilized at various stages of the manufacturing process, including PCB inspection, solder paste application verification (SPI), as well as pre-reflow and post-reflow inspections.
